“I get paid to dance and have fun with strangers”
I saw an opportunity to be different.
As a DJ, I don’t just play music; I’m part of the party. My goal is to get everyone moving, whether they’re on the dance floor, hanging at the bar, or even that shy person sitting in the corner. I believe everyone should feel included in the celebration.
About Me
I’m a father of three Ashley, Brittney (the twins), and Joseph and husband to my amazing wife, Jen. I also live with Tourette syndrome. I don’t have coprolalia, but I do have a few slight tics that come and go. It’s a part of who I am, and I own it.
The Professional Side
For the last 30 years, I’ve worked as a photojournalist in the NY area. I’ve always said I get paid to do what most people would pay to do. I thrive in high-stress environments and usually find a way to crack a joke to keep things light. After spending a decade as a wedding photographer shooting hundreds of events, I realized something was missing from the party.
Why I DJ Differently
I actually started DJing on vinyl right after high school (yeah, I’m that "old school"), but my time as a photographer really shaped my style today. I’d watch DJs keep their heads down, ignoring requests and staying disconnected from the room. Meanwhile, I was the photographer out on the floor dancing with guests and getting people hyped.
